Qatar Sweeps Awards at Arab Women in Diplomacy Forum Held in Cairo

Background

Qatar claimed several honours at the International Forum of Arab Women in Diplomacy, held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in cooperation with the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, on the occasion of the International Day of Arab Women Diplomats.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater received the Arab Woman Excellence Shield for Social Responsibility 2026, recognising her leadership in education and her role as a model for Arab women at national, regional, and international levels. Counselor at the Qatar Embassy to Egypt, Khalid Abdullah Al Ibrahim, accepted the award on her behalf.

Head of the Department of Kindergartens and Private Schools Dr. Rania Yousri Mohammed received the Arab Woman Social Responsibility Award 2026 for her ministry’s social responsibility project in private schools and kindergartens. She said Qatar’s experience in the field was shared with Arab nations to exchange expertise and build a culture of social responsibility among schools, students, parents, and relevant authorities. She added that the project aims to provide equitable, high-quality education for all students in Qatar’s private schools.

Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti also received the Arab Woman Social Responsibility Award for her contributions to parliamentary work and community development.

Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Ambassador of Qatar to Egypt Maryam Ahmed Al Shibi was honoured for her efforts in strengthening Arab diplomatic cooperation and advancing women’s roles in diplomacy. She said the recognition reflects Qatar’s commitment to women’s empowerment in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
