DIFC and London Business School Offer 10 Scholarships to Emirati Women

Background-

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and London Business School (LBS) have launched 10 scholarships for Emirati women from the DIFC community, giving them access to LBS Executive Education Open programs to build skills, strengthen leadership and advance careers.

The announcement caps DIFC’s Emirati Women’s Month and coincides with 20 years of the DIFC Academy, which links professionals with leading universities, business schools and education providers. The scholarships also fit DIFC’s wider push to support Emirati women through education, leadership opportunities, networks and mentors.

Alya Alzarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority, said Emirati women’s growing role in the UAE economy sits at the heart of DIFC’s vision for a diverse, future-ready financial center. She said the partnership gives 10 women access to world-class executive education to sharpen their skills and speed up their careers.

Sergei Guriev, Dean of London Business School, said the school is proud to back DIFC’s goal of building an inclusive ecosystem where talent thrives. He said LBS looks forward to welcoming more Emirati women into its learning community and giving them a global network.

LBS opened its first campus outside London in Dubai, inside the DIFC Academy. According to the institutions, its Open Executive Education programs rank first globally with the Financial Times for the second year running.

Eligible Emirati women can register through the London Business School executive education program. DIFC Innovation Hub is also running Women in Business Week, with sessions on technology, finance and entrepreneurship.
