The program incorporated the three training modules that enabled the participants to develop skills in their profession and business start-ups. All graduates received certificates, and top performers were awarded Canon products and featured on Canon’s official platforms to showcase their work.
Mai Youssef, Communications & Corporate Marketing Director at Canon Middle East & Türkiye, said, “It has been inspiring to see the transformation of our participants. Their growth shows the power of working together for the common good. “These women are ready to take the lead in their fields, and we are proud to support them,” said Mai Youssef.
Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at DBWC, added, “Season 2 has been very successful.” Participants gained confidence and skills to excel in the print and imaging industries. This partnership with Canon helps prepare the next generation of women leaders and innovators.”
The program included three main training modules. The Photography module, with the Canon Ambassador Jorge Ferrari, helped the participants learn to narrate using photos and develop their shooting abilities. The Content Creation module, led by John Ruzz Merca, focused on making and editing visual and video content and sharing it professionally. Print module, headed by Ayman Aly, learnt industry trends, digital printing, and business opportunities.
Top performers included Wadad Tabbara in photography, Camila Cascio in content creation, and Rasha Msallam and Elizabeth Thomas in print.
The two-month program included classroom lessons and hands-on practice using Canon’s imaging and printing equipment. It also gave participants chances to network and receive mentorship. Season 3 is already being planned to empower more women across the UAE and the region.
