HH Sheikha Moza and Qatari Leaders to Shape Web Summit Qatar 2026

Background: 

The Permanent Web Summit Organising Committee has announced that HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, will take part in the 3rd edition of Web Summit Qatar 2026, which will be held from 1–4 February 2026 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The Committee said HH Sheikha Moza’s participation will add value to the summit’s discussions, especially on the role of technology in society, new approaches to education, and supporting communities during rapid digital changes.

The summit will also host HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, showing Qatar’s commitment to promoting a technology-focused future.

The Committee confirmed that the event will feature prominent Qatari industry and government leaders, including HE Chairperson of Qatar Museums Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, HE Minister of Justice Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, and HE Dr Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.

Additional senior executives participating in the summit include HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Thawadi, Managing Director of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy; Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar; Abdulla bin Hamad Al Misnad, Chairman of QAI; Sheikh Nasser bin Faisal bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Director General of Al Jazeera Media Network; and Eng Omar Ali Al Ansari, Secretary General of the Qatar Research and Development Council.

Web Summit Qatar 2026 is expected to attract 30,000 participants, more than 1,600 startups, over 800 investors, over 180 global partners, and more than 400 speakers from around the world. The summit will receive wide media coverage, with more than 600 journalists expected to attend, making it the biggest edition of the global event held in Qatar so far.

This edition of Web Summit Qatar highlights the country’s growing role as a center for technology, investment, and international collaboration, while also showcasing the important contributions of Arab women leaders in education, culture, and innovation.
