She was educated at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in the foundation of the clinical training she specified herself through engaging in high-acuity operating rooms and intensive care units for years managing complex surgical cases, transplants, emergencies, and critical care scenarios where leadership and clinical excellence meet.

Additionally, to medicine, she has been empowering her leadership with advanced studies in international health crisis management, business leadership, and mediation which has equipped her to handle and to be at the intersection of patient safety, team performance, and organizational responsibility.

Dr. Evangelia Michailidou journey to leadership began with rigorous clinical training. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, followed by specialty training in Anaesthesiology and expertise in Intensive Care. Over 13 years at General Hospital Hippokratio of Thessaloniki, she administered anesthesia for 4,891 obstetric cases, 5,143 gynecological procedures, 103 liver transplantations, and 97 kidney transplantations. She managed 743 vascular surgeries, including complex abdominal aortic aneurysms, performed 1,049 emergency intubations, and handled 88 cardiac surgeries. These numbers represent more than statistics, they reflect thousands of critical moments where her decisions directly impacted human survival.

Her role as a permanent Consultant Anesthesiologist-Intensivist at Hippokratio from May 2017 to 2022 established her reputation for handling the most challenging cases. She became a trainer and examiner for surgical nursing specialties across Northern Greece and served as a member of the hospital’s rapid response emergency team. Simultaneously, she volunteered with Doctors of the World Greece, focusing on pain management for vulnerable populations.
